Old School Tattoos
Every year we see thousands of people getting inked & quite a few of these are not very happy with the final results. Why do so many get inked & then regret it. The answer is really simple, they rush in when they shouldn't, many can't wait & simply head straight to the tattoo parlour to get what they think is the best tattoo in the world.
This scenario above might sound familiar to some of our readers, it happens all over the world & the only way out of it is to get the tattoo removed by laser surgery which can be quiet expensive. No only can laser surgery be expensive but can also leave an unsightly scar which you'll always have to remind you of your visit to the tattoo parlour. The good news is that you can learn from the mistakes of others & think before you decide to get a tattoo. What type of tattoo are you planning on getting, is it a unique tattoo, is it modern or are you just going to copy someone else.
Copying someone else can sometimes be a real bad idea, you see many young impressionable teenagers today getting tattoos of their favourite actor or football player. Why would anyone do this, most of these famous people are shallow & quite frankly some would see them as immature idiots so why copy them.Unfortunately many do & regret it later in life when they see their hero being arrested on TV for something they themselves wouldn't associate with in a million years & this is when more times than not the laser surgery makes its entrance. So the next time you think about getting inked, don't just copy some idiot you saw on TV, go think for yourself. Ask questions like; what image would suit my body, what style of tattoo should I go for.
By asking questions like this you'll eventually choose the right tattoo or end up creating your own. The latter choice is more popular than ever these days, many people are now choosing to design their own tattoos & why wouldn't they, there are some great tattoo artists out there who are only too willing to design something for you. The next thing you should think about is tattoo placement. Just where do you think your tattoo would look its best on your body. You got to think real careful here, if you're an investment banker then having a tattoo on your arm might just cost you your job, on the flip side if you're a mechanic then having a prominent tattoo wont affect your job status.
Many people today choose tattoos on body parts which the public will never see. This is probably the best option for a newbie, you can have a tattoo but only those you're intimate with will ever see it. By doing this you can get used to it & if you like it a lot then you can think about getting one in a more prominent place at a later date. So whatever type of tattoo you're thinking of getting, ensure you think it through before you get inked. If its old school tattoos or a maori tattoo, its all the same, just remember to take your time & have a good think about where you're going to place it.
